Cancellation Policy


This policy applies to all direct bookings made with Reconnect, either via this website, or directly by email or Whatsapp.

Bookings made through Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) follow the terms listed on the respective platform.

1. Payments

  • Full payment is required at the time of reservation.

  • A booking is considered confirmed after payment is received.

2. Standard Cancellation Rules

  • More than 3 months before arrival: 50% refund.

  • Less than 3 months before arrival: non-refundable.

  • No-shows: non-refundable.

Refunds always apply to the total amount paid, not per-night calculations.

3. Date Changes

  • Date changes follow the same rules as cancellations.

  • Reconnect may offer a complimentary date change at its sole discretion, depending on availability.

  • Complimentary rescheduling is a courtesy, not a contractual right.

4. Delays, Missed Boats, and Third-Party Transport

Reconnect helps guests coordinate transport, but does not operate most land or sea transfers.
 

Land Transport Disclaimer

We assist in arranging cars from:

  • Luwuk, Palu, Poso, Toraja, and other cities.

These are independent third-party operators. Reconnect is not responsible for:

  • delays,

  • cancellations,

  • breakdowns,

  • missed connections,

  • additional costs caused by the operator.

If delays cause guests to miss their boat, the booking is treated as a no-show (non-refundable).

 

Island-to-Island Boat Disclaimer

Reconnect may help arrange boats between the Togean Islands, such as from:

  • Kadidiri, Bomba, Malenge, Una-Una, or other villages.

These boats are also third-party–operated. Reconnect bears no responsibility for:

  • late departures,

  • schedule changes,

  • weather-related cancellations,

  • operator mistakes,

  • missed connections.

A missed boat for reasons not caused by Reconnect is treated as a no-show (non-refundable).

 

5. Weather and Force Majeure

Weather can affect sea travel in Central Sulawesi.
If transfers are delayed or canceled due to weather, tidal conditions, or other force majeure events:

Reconnect will:

  • attempt to reschedule the transfer,

  • assist with moving the stay dates when possible.

Reconnect cannot guarantee refunds for force majeure events.

 

6. Low-Season Flexibility

During low season, Reconnect may apply a more flexible approach to cancellations or date changes.


Any flexibility is discretionary and depends on availability.

 

7. Group Bookings and Resort Privatization

  • Standard cancellation rules apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • For full-resort privatization or organized trips, separate payment and cancellation terms may be established with the organizer.

Only written agreements are binding.

 

8. OTA Bookings

Bookings made through platforms like Booking.com or Agoda follow the cancellation rules displayed on the respective platform.

Reconnect cannot modify or override OTA decisions.

9. Travel Insurance Recommendation

Due to the remote location and multiple transport segments required to reach the resort, it is mandatory for guests to purchase a travel insurance covering:

  • weather disruptions,

  • missed connections,

  • illness,

  • injuries,

  • evacuation,

  • cancellations for any reason.

Insurance is the guest’s responsibility, and the resort can't be held responsible for guest's failure to purchase the proper travel insurance.
